Editing
A good image guides the viewer’s focus to the subject, allowing the background to support the photograph rather than compete with it. So what do we take out to achieve this? Anything that distracts the eye: busy backgrounds, bright highlights, strong colours, and unnecessary objects.
Post-processing can then be applied to adjust lighting and contrast, enhancing the image’s impact or subduing it to remain consistent with the intended theme
Interestingly, the rules of many wildlife photography competitions specify that no, (or only minor adjustment to lighting) post precessing editing is permitted.
Ps: if you have to edit a picture as much as this, then it was never a good image.
